Overview

What the project is.

KTC Jewellery is a jewellery e-commerce platform covering Gold, Diamond, Platinum, Bridal and Gemstone categories, serving buyers across more than one currency and language.

Beyond a conventional storefront, the platform includes a trade and reseller system: registered trade users get their own storefront rather than a single shared shopfront, which makes it a multi-tenant product as much as an online shop.

Scope

What the build had to support.

  • A catalogue spanning five jewellery categories with distinct browsing needs
  • Multi-currency pricing across the storefront
  • Multi-language content for an international audience
  • A trade and reseller registration path with individually operated storefronts
Approach

How it was designed and built.

The decisions that shaped the build, rather than a list of technologies pretending to be a strategy.

The catalogue and tenancy model were designed before the interface, because a multi-tenant storefront cannot be retrofitted onto a single-store data model.

The storefront is image-led — jewellery is bought visually — with category structure that keeps five distinct ranges navigable rather than collapsing them into one long grid.

Currency and language were treated as first-class parts of the content model rather than a translation layer bolted on at the end.

Features built

Product catalogue across Gold, Diamond, Platinum, Bridal and Gemstone ranges
Multi-currency pricing
Multi-language storefront
Trade and reseller registration
Individually operated reseller storefronts
Full-stack implementation, frontend through to backend

Technologies

  • React
  • Node.js
  • REST APIs
  • Multi-tenant architecture
  • E-commerce

Responsive implementation

The storefront is built for phones first — product grids, category navigation and the enquiry path are all designed to work at small widths, which is where most retail browsing happens.

Testing & deployment

Deployed and running in production, with the reseller and multi-tenant configuration maintained as part of ongoing work.

No traffic, conversion or revenue figures are published for this project, because none were measured and shared with Ayroverse. The outcome stated above is the verifiable one.
